Technical Services Engineer (Voice)

Full Time

We are looking for Technical Services Engineer with good technical capabilities in supporting and maintaining REDtone services. You are responsible to implement best practices, automate tasks and to ensure uninterrupted voice/network/system services. You will be working closely with Product team, Voice NOC, Network team and vendors/contractors to facilitate voice/network delivery.


Duties and responsibilities

  • Provide technical support including installation, services, maintenance and conducting site visits, on Telecommunication Solutions provided by REDtone such as Voice Services (SIP/Cloud PBX/IPPBX) and Data Services (ADSL/Broadband).
  • Provide training to customers upon service deployment.
  • Schedule and liaise with customer for all on-site activities, including coordinating with third party personnel whenever necessary (eg, vendors, service providers, cabling contractors, etc.).
  • Liaise with other functional group within the department as well as inter-company for project accomplishment or information gathering.
  • Support ad-hoc projects.
  • Provide support on an urgent basis if needed.
  • Update job status in the system and to relevant parties upon task completion.
  • Logistics of equipment and devices to be documented.
  • Maintain technical documentation of customers.
  • Perform testing, studies and have clear understating of all the voice solutions and services.
  • On standby rotation for outside office hours, weekends and public holidays.


Qualifications and requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Information Technology (IT) or equivalent.
  • A self-starter and a team player with the ability to multitask.
  • Good Interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Good discipline and work attitude.
  • Fresh graduates/entry level with passionate learning attitude are encouraged to apply.
  • Applicant should be Malaysian citizens.
  • Must possess own transport.
  • Willing to work on standby basis.


Skills and experience

  • Good diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience in voice services/solutions will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge in IT and Networking will be an added advantage.
