Duties and responsibilities
- Acquire new business opportunities for REDtone by providing IT Solutions/services and build good relationship from the number of leads
- Responsible for driving business and achieving sales targets to contribute to company’s growth
- Develop and establish a strong rapport with assigned market/industry. Identify and formulate ideas to bring value to targeted industries with our solutions
- Establish new relationship with industry enterprises to generate additional sales opportunities and develop different business solutions for such industry
- Gather business intelligence within the marketplace to improve the Company’s position, not only on specific deals, but strategically within the industry as well
- Work cross functionally with business leaders from other department, includes Direct Sales, Channel Sales, Product Sales, Pre-Sales Engineering and Sales Operations
- Prepare and deliver presentation and quotation to customers
- Anticipate how decisions are made, persistently explore and uncover the needs of customers and understand how Internet of Things can grow their business
- Attend conferences, meetings and relevant industry events
- Participating in new business contract negotiations
- Submit Monthly business development report
- Other ad hoc tasks as directed by Sales Director related to Business Development
Qualifications and requirements
- Candidate must possess at least Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management/Marketing/ IOT/ Engineering/ or equivalent
- Ability to work in fast paced environment and meet sales target
- Ability to communicate in English and Malay. Mandarin is a plus
- Possess own transport and willing to travel extensively
- Strong communication skill, and ability to work across functions in an evolving industry landscape
Skills and experience
- Strong background in sales with at least 3-5 years’ experience and possess knowledge in business development with proven ability to sell digital solutions (particularly in enterprise grade applications) to technical and non-technical personnel.
- Solid understanding of marketplace dynamics with good interpersonal and rapport-building skills.
- Knowledge in farming/Agriculture/ IOT/ Corporate Affairs/ Government Relations in Malaysia with strong contacts these communities is a plus.
